Concept
The New Renaissance [Revisited] series explores the fusion of technology, humanity, and divinity in an ever-evolving way of being. Each piece, like this ethereal portrait of a woman adorned with glowing circuits and classical drapery, symbolises "divinity as becoming"—an unfolding process where art and technology allow us to participate in reality and evolve into new beings. Through this blend, we experience the sacred not as a static entity, but as a dynamic emergence, rejecting materialistic or reductionist worldviews. The divine is foundational to reality, beyond what can be named, measured, or contained by rational thought alone.

Inspirations
Inspired by the Renaissance's humanism and the rapid advancements in technology—especially AI—this series draws on the theories of contemporary scholars to bridge past and future. Key influence comes from Iain McGilchrist, particularly his concepts of divinity and participatory creation in works like The Master and His Emissary and The Matter with Things. McGilchrist's ideas, including hemispheric brain theory and panentheistic views, highlight the sacred as an interconnected unfolding. These theories and my own creative intuition inform the exploration of AI's role in human evolution, evoking a cybernetic enlightenment where we are all instances of the source (aka God), uniting personal and collective journeys.

Creative Process
In creating these AI-generated visuals, the process is a symbiosis of collective data—created, collected, and algorithmically remastered by us as artists. AI art emerges as a collective force, not mere curation, but true participatory creation. Intuition flows directly from the source, guiding the initial spark, while intention—the will of our individual instances—refines it into form. This harmonious dance mirrors divine unity, blending human input with algorithmic evolution to shape evolving forms like the sparkling, dissolving circuits that represent our transformation through art and technology.
